At ACT Electrical, all our electrical engineers are fully trained professionals with years of experience in fire alarm installations. All our staff are approved contractors with accreditation from NIC EIC (The National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting).
Testing of fire alarms is very important and in some cases, a legal requirement. The issue or renewal of fire safety certificates is dependant on satisfactory test reports.
From October 2006, a new Fire Safety order (Regulatory Reform) was passed which replaced the existing legislation, including the Fire Precautions Act 1971. With the new order in place, it is stated that the responsability of fire safety falls on the "responsable person". The new order also outlines the action that must be taken to make sure that the safety of others is taken into consideration by the "responsable person", by enforcing large financial penalties if the new order isn't correctly followed.
